In the next episode of Vanished Chicagoland Stories The Podcast, I will discuss my memories of the snacks I had in my lunchbox in the 1970s. This was one of the snacks I had in my lunchbox when I was kid. It was so good!
This popped up in my memories on Facebook. Happy 61st anniversary to my Mom who set foot in America for the first time! My parents were married on July 22, 1962. I love her with all my heart, and she is an awesome supporter for me going through my prostate cancer surgery and recovery.
In the next episode of Vanished Chicagoland Stories The Podcast, I will discuss my memories of the snacks I had in my lunchbox in the 1970s. Do you have a favorite memory of what snacks were in your lunchbox as a kid? Please comment. Thank you!
Here is another family photo! This is me in 8th grade at Koraes Elementary School in Palos Hills, IL. Look at that haircut! Look at that dark hair! Seems like yesterday!
Good morning everyone! Here is an ad for Yummy Ice Cream from Jewel Foods Store! Which flavor was your favorite? Mine was chocolate!
British singer Roger Whittaker passed on September 13, 2023. He was 87. My two favorite Chicago memories were The WGN Channel 9 logo playing his 1975 song, The Last Farewell, and Benny Hill doing a parody of him named Roger Twitaker on his show when the reruns were shown on WFLD-TV Channel 32 in Chicago. That was hilarious! R.I.P.
