    50 years ago today, Jewel Grand Bazaar opened at 5320 S Pulaski Rd in Chicago on September 27, 1973. A few more opened, and then all reverted to Jewel Food Stores years later. The photo is from The Chicago Tribune

    Actor David McCallum has passed away. He was 90. I will talk about my memories of him tomorrow on the next episode of Vanished Chicagoland The Podcast. He was a great actor! R.I.P. #davidmccallum
